Can I still play the game as a regular player if I’m a volunteer?

Absolutely! You are encouraged to continue playing the game as a regular player while volunteering. We ask that you choose sessions outside of your volunteer time slots.

 

What are the minimum requirements for becoming a volunteer?

To become a volunteer, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be willing to commit to a minimum of 4 hours.
Abide by the conventions code of conduct at all times.

 

How do I sign up to be a volunteer?

You can sign up as a volunteer by completing the online application form here! After you submit your application, Alliance Space Command will review it and contact you.

 

What if I have an idea for improving the game?

We highly value the input of our volunteer team and encourage you to share your ideas and suggestions for improving the game. You can submit your ideas through the private volunteer channel or discuss them in the dev-talks channel on our Discord.

 

What are the perks of volunteering?

0-7 hours: Small Swag
8-19 hours: Swag, a badge to the convention,1 Volunteer Card and $30 per 8 hours
20-40 hours: all the above, ¼ of a hotel room and 2 Volunteer Cards
40+ hours: The thanks of the Alliance, all the above and extra swag

 

Can I be paid in SHA cards instead?

Yes! If you would rather have SHA cards instead; we will do a conversion of $ x 1.4 = Cards Value. I.e. if you were due $30 that would be worth $42 in SHA Cards.

 

Can I help setup or tear down the Space Station at conventions?

Yes!

 

Can I stop volunteering at any time?

Yes, we understand that personal circumstances may change, and you may need to step back from your volunteer role. We ask that you inform us as early as possible so we can cover the shift.

 

What roles are available for volunteering?

GM (Game Master) – Be the mastermind behind the curtain
NPC – Be the voice and face of some of your favorite characters
Quartermaster – Help outfit all outbound ships on the space station
Operations – Be the glue that keeps the space station running
